It’s been 2 weeks since we held our fundraiser supporting Martin's Mountain.
Martin Hibbert was the closest survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. Since then, he has been raising money for the amazing charity, the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), who gave him the hope, confidence and practical skills to start again. On 9th June 2022, Martin reached the summit of Kilimanjaro using a specially adapted wheelchair with the team who helped save his life, to raise £1million for SIA. He is one of the most resilient and inspiring individuals you could hope to meet; and why Martin features on Our Influences and Our Inspiration webpage.
As many of you know, several of the Pratap Partnership team worked with Martin, so it’s a charity and cause very close to our hearts.
On Thursday 28th September 2023, we were joined by several guests (and their wonderful dogs!) at our office in Nostell Estate where Martin provided an inspiring talk on his story, the Kilimanjaro hike and mental resilience. I think I can speak for most, in all, the guests that his story was touching and moving on so many levels.
We then all went on a walk around Nostell Estate Grounds, which wasn’t quite as strenuous as a hike up Kilimanjaro, followed by handmade Pizza catered by local caterers, The Wood Fired Pizza Company.
We are delighted to announce that through our Fundraiser, we raised £1750 for Martin’s Mountain, helping him get one step closer to his £1M target.
