Run over four days, the course was delivered by Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA), who are a social enterprise, offering expert advice and training to support mental health in the workplace. The course taught in depth skills for providing first aid to people who may be experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and psychosis.
“This was a very rewarding and valuable course to complete. It gave me an in depth understanding of mental health and the factors that affect well being and included group sessions with people from a wide range of different industries. Many of the sessions were challenging - the course highlighted a lot of knowledge gaps that most people will have, and offered a huge range of skills to use for promoting positive mental health. I would recommend this course to anyone and would recommend Kate Hayward as a facilitator” Lorraine Pratap
Monday 10th May sees the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. The main objective is to make sure everyone talks more about positive mental health – the more people open up and talk, more people will get help.
