Our “CFO Network” is central to so much of the work that we do. It is where we make and receive valuable introductions, where we keep up to date with the latest issues and where we spend time with people we enjoy to!We define our CFO network as;
Pre COVID-19, our networking was done through the tried and tested means of breakfast seminars, social events and face-to-face meetings. We hope that some of these will resume in the not-too-distant future. Like many other teams, we thrive on these activities to keep our business and our personal motivation going.As we all prepare ourselves for the much talked about “new normal” of business activities, Joe Ingham has started a series of virtual breakfast seminars to keep our network connected and to share ideas on current topics. We held our first event on Zoom on Friday 19th June, bringing together a number of speakers including Roger Esler and Sophie Colloby (Partners from DSW), Jamie Waugh (Talent Manager and Deal Origination from Endless), Alex Fogal (Business Development Director from Barclays) and Alastair Scott-Somers (Corporate Lawyer and Director from Progeny). We also welcomed a number of high-calibre CFOs and interim finance professionals from our network.It was great to bring so many people together and to hear recent experiences and expectations for supply chain management, benefits / viability of long-term planning and the ongoing changes in consumer behaviours, as well as discuss how the private equity and deals market has coped with COVID and the future of the deals market.Many thanks to everyone who joined us and we look forward to our next event
