We have been instructed on 14 job opportunities for these roles, at salary levels between £40,000 and £55,000 per annum, based in the Yorkshire region in the past four weeks alone.

Some of the factors contributing to this market change are:

1. More pressure and demands on the audit firms, resulting in a workload that negates the possibility of client secondments.
2. Increasing regulation and governance expected from the reporting in listed businesses and medium & large sized businesses. This is going to increase significantly over the next three years following the government consultation, on reforms aimed at “restoring trust in audit and corporate governance”. This will lead to increased demands on reporting in line with what US companies saw following Sarbanes Oxley in 2002.
